Choosing Chew Valley School
Thank you for your interest in Chew Valley School. We hope that you will find some of the information you need on our website. However, the life of the school is best experienced by visiting us during the day. We hold an Information Evening for parents and Year 6 Open Mornings each September but you are welcome to make an appointment to visit the school at any time. In 2012 our Open Evening will be on Tuesday September 18th and our Open Mornings on 25th, 26th and 27th September.
Each year there are 196 places in Year 7 at the school. We take students from our 'area of prime responsibility' which stretches from Felton in the west to Pensford in the east and Dundry in the north to Litton in the south. We also receive a number of out of area applications, many of which are successful.
As a community school the local council is our admissions authority. Applications for a place at Chew Valley should be made to Bath and N E Somerset Council. A link to their admissions website appears below:
