Please help the school save money and energy!

Dear Parents and Friends of Chew Valley,

The school had plans to install solar panels in the New Year under the Feed In Tariff scheme which would have brought huge savings to the school over a 25 year period.  The government announced earlier in November that they were bringing forward the deadline for installations from March 2012 to December 2011.  As a result, the school's scheme cannot go ahead because it is no longer cost-effective.  Please consider helping the school in the following ways:

Take a moment to sign (electronically) an e-petition on the government website asking for an exemption to be made for not for profit organisations.  You can follow this link: https://submissions.epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/20928

2. Write to your MP asking them to support the campaign to permit schools and other non-profit making organisations to work to the old deadline of March 31st 2012.
