Year 6 students come to French Market at Chew

Ten of our local primary schools came to Chew Valley School on 29 June to take part in a French market.  It was great to see every school putting their stalls together and their teachers encouraging year six students to speak in French and have a taste of the culture.  We had all sorts of authentic food and activities:  from a patisserie to a pétanque competition.  We were particularly impressed with the “Chaperon rouge” play performed by Bishop Sutton and Stanton Drew pupils.  Well done to all pupils and teachers that took part and we hope to repeat the event next year.
