Pictures from the Year 8 Barcelona visit 2010
42 year eight students went to Barcelona on the 7th June to the 11th June. The trip started with a busy day at the airport and when we arrived a visit to the cathedral Sagrada Familia, built by Gaudi. All week we did a variety of activities including, sports, sightseeing, salsa lessons, a visit to a theme park, disco nights and Spanish lessons everyday.
Pupils enjoyed quality food that was offered everyday at our holiday park. Most tried Spanish specialities such as tortilla española, churros con chocolate and the very famous paella! Teachers were very impressed with the good behaviour and willingness of our students.
Overall, the trip was a great opportunity to experience the Spanish culture and use the language in a real context. A great thank you to all members of staff that accompanied us and to our lovely pupils who made it all worth it!
