Nick Matthews has won a closely contested election at the school.  977 votes were cast which equated to a turnout of 84%.  With 34 spoilt ballots the results were as follows:

It has been great to see the school fizz with political discussion.  The candidates have all been superb and, as the votes show, all managed to connect with groups of like minds and sympathetic supporters.  The highlight of the campaign was the Candidates Debate which was chaired by the magisterial Max Oakley from the Sixth Form.  The standard to discussion (and heckling) was very high and infinitely more entertaining than the Prime Ministerial Debates on the TV.

We are very proud that young people at the school are taking their responsibilities as citizens so seriously and thoroughly enjoying the cut and thrust of politics.
