Girls Rugby Success
Chew Valley returned from the Bath Girls Tag Rugby Sevens Tournament with a total of 60 tries and the Reds coming in first place! Chew Valley Blues (year 7 and 8) played extremely well with Jocelyn Barker, Ellie Grace, Emily Treneman and Hannah Yeatman making some superb breaks. The Blues managed to amass a total of 19 tries on their way to coming third in a very competitive and tight group. The Chew Valley Greens (year 9) scored a total of 15 tries with Lacey Hawker, Megan Abernethy Hope and Amelia Penny scoring some great individual tries. The Greens came in fourth position and were extremely unfortunate not to win a number of their games. The Reds (year 9) won the tournament through scoring a total of 26 tries, with Lucy Reynolds, Vicky Vipond and Becky Fenn scoring some fantastic tries. A very successful day for all the girls, who have shown a superb level of enthusiasm in training!
