Coming Soon! Little Shop of Horrors

Following on from last year’s production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, the Performing Arts faculty has already begun working on this year’s production of ‘A Little Shop of Horrors’. The musical, set in 1950’s down town New York tells the story of Seymour Krelbourn, the clumsy employee of Mushnik's Flower Shop on Skid Row. Mushnik has decided to close the shop until Seymour shows him a strange and interesting new plant that he has been working on. The plant, which he calls Audrey II (after the girl he has a hopeless crush on), immediately attracts business. That night, Seymour discovers what Audrey II eats: blood. Seymour feeds the plant, and as a result, it gets bigger and bigger. When Seymour becomes unable to keep feeding it, the plant begins to talk, urging him to kill people and feed them to him. Audrey II promises him rewards, business, luxuries, everything he's ever wanted including, ultimately, Audrey. What does Seymour do? Come along to find out!
