Chew students address the Youth Parliament
On Friday 9th July Ashley Jones, Elliot James, Claire Hammett and Nick Matthews attended the Young People's Parliament at Bath Spa University along with teams from every secondary school throughout BANES.
Their brief was to put forward a proposal for improving communications between adults and young people. After successfully getting through the first round they then presented their proposal to an audience of over 200 hundred people, including representatives from the various Children's Services as well as Councillors and local MPs.
Needless to say they did an excellent job! We have some budding politicians with some very persuasive skills.
