Avon Golf Success

The Chew Valley Golf Team returned from the AVON Tournament with Jemima Gregson and Vicky Watts crowned as the Girls Nett Team Winners after scoring impressive rounds of 74 and 78.  Jemima also won the under 16 Girls Competition which subsequently saw her qualify for the South West and England Schools Championship and England Schools National Championship, a superb achievement which she thoroughly deserves.  Alex Patch, playing in his very last competition for the school scored a respectable Nett score of 96, which included an eventful 3^rd hole which saw his first drive bounce up and hit another golfer on the side of the head!  Chris Shanks played a solid round throughout and finished with a Nett score of 77, which subsequently saw him come mid table in the final results.
