Chew Valley Community Council welcomes Hong Kong visitors

On Thursday 19th January, members of the Government Education Department from Hong Kong visited Chew Valley School to see the good work taking place within the School Community Council. The visitors came to see the Learning to Lead programme in action, and were impressed by both the presentations by the students and the exciting developments around the school, from the polytunnel to the chickens to the woodland walk. The morning began with a presentation from Annie Emery, Beth Calverley and Fred Cotterill about the intentions behind the programme and how it came into being at Chew Valley School, before each student involved explained the positive impact the Community Council has had on their time in school. The Visitors left feeling informed and enthusiastic about implementing Learning to Lead in Hong Kong schools.
